EXPLORING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH THE ŌTAKI TO NORTH OF LEVIN (Ō2NL) PROJECT - OCTOBER 2023

The Ōtaki to North of Levin (Ō2NL) highway project is coming.

Construction is expected to start in 2025 for the 24-kilometre stretch of highway which extends across our rohe. This will be one of the biggest roading infrastructure projects in Aotearoa.

With a project of this size, there will be future opportunities for local businesses across a range of sectors to be involved.

The Horowhenua Company Ltd is working with Ō2NL project partners Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority and hapū of Ngāti Raukawa Ki Te Tonga, as well as Horowhenua District Council, to identify local businesses that are interested in being involved on this significant project in our district.

Local businesses were invited to an information event held on Tuesday 10 October to learn what business opportunities may be available through this project in the future, how to register your interest for opportunities when they arise, and what will happen next.
